Join Emma Powell and Nathan Carter in a relaxed online conversation with Tim Minturn talking about their performances in the long running, award winning production Come from Away, how they started in the industry, what they have done, and what they have coming up!

A wonderful opportunity to listen to these two hard working professionals and ask those questions that you have never had the chance to!

Emma Powell

Emma’s first performance was at the age of three when she appeared on US television with Ronald McDonald. As a grown-up, she was part the Australian tour of The Pirates of Penzance with Jon English and Simon Gallaher. She then joined Les Miserables which toured to Singapore, Hong Kong, Korea and Cape Town. She went on to perform in Mamma Mia as ensemble in the original production then taking over the role of ‘Rosie’ for the Australasian tour. She played ‘Hattie’ in Kiss Me Kate and ‘Fruma Sarah” in Fiddler on the Roof. The last few years has seen her touring Australia in Kinky Boots as ‘Trish’ and in Priscilla – Queen of the Desert as ‘Shirley’. Emma is currently playing the role of Beulah & others in the Australian production of Come From Away.

Nathan Carter

Nathan most recently appeared on Australian screens as Ian Packer in Neighbours (Fremantle Media). On stage he played the role of George in the Australian tour of Kinky Boots (Michael Cassel Group) 2016-17, prior to which he toured Australasia as Dr Dillamond in Wicked (GFO) 2014-15. Other theatre credits include: Hitler’s Daughter (MBTC), My Fair Lady (Opera Australia), Jolson (Jon Nichols Productions), Me and My Girl (Neglected Musicals), Company (Watch This), Hello Again (Gaiety Theatre), The Sound of Music and Anything Goes (WA Music Theatre Company), Only Heaven Knows (Perth Festival), Falsettos, Into the Woods, Assassins (New Theatre). Nathan co-wrote BoyBand (Donkey Brown) which had two successful seasons at Sydney’s Seymour Centre.

Screen credits include: Winners and Losers (7 Network), Breakers (Network Ten), Inside The Arena(Foxtel), Elixir (Prolific Productions). Nathan holds theatre degrees from WAAPA and UNSW. Proud Equity member since 1998. Nathan is currently playing the role of Nick & others in the Australian production of Come From Away.
